Founding Story
Why Carbonaz?
In 2026 the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) entered its definitive regime. As one of the EU's largest trade partners, Turkey sits at the very center of this regulation. Producers in the iron and steel, aluminium, cement, fertilizer, hydrogen and electricity sectors faced a complex process of emission calculation, supply chain management and verification.
In our conversations with Turkish producers under CBAM we saw the same picture: the topic is on the agenda, but companies have no comprehensive solution. Environmental engineers work with Excel files, supplier data cannot be collected and audit readiness remains incomplete.
Every solution on the market was foreign, in English and focused on the EU importer. There was no end-to-end CBAM platform, available in the producer's own language, that put the producer at the center. Carbonaz was founded to fill this gap.
Today Carbonaz is a comprehensive product with 22 modules, compliant with all six CBAM sectors. We were founded in 2026 and are open to every sector within CBAM scope.

The Nature of CBAM
Why a Single Platform Is Essential
CBAM is not an individual carbon reporting matter. Each product's embedded emissions (SEE) require actual data from every supplier that makes up that product. This structure makes managing the process with Excel practically impossible.
A central platform was needed, one that tracks the entire supply chain end to end and where all parties enter their data in the same system. This is not merely a tooling choice; it is a structural requirement of the EU regulation.
Carbonaz was designed to meet this need fully: a multi-tier supply chain, portal integration via invitation links, automated data collection flows and central reporting infrastructure.
