How is the grid emission factor determined for electricity?
Country-based grid emission factors are applied from up-to-date IEA data. For Türkiye, the 2025 IEA Projection value of 0.4500 tCO₂/MWh comes ready in the system; the data is updated annually.
Does the 50-tonne de minimis exemption apply to electricity?
No. In the EU CBAM regulation the de minimis threshold applies to cement, iron & steel, aluminium and fertilizers. For electricity and hydrogen the obligation continues regardless of the import quantity.
Is there a special rule for cross-border electricity?
Yes. Special calculation rules are applied for electricity crossing the EU border. With net export tracking, hourly, daily and monthly average factors can be evaluated separately.
Can I break down my renewable generation (hydro, wind, solar)?
When renewable energy guarantee certificates are uploaded to the system and verified, hydroelectric, wind and solar generation are broken down so that your emission profile is reported in a lower and more transparent way.
